Futurama Dvd
There are five series of Futurama. Futurama is a wonder full mix of characters that makes it interesting and brings it above all the cartoons. When the production of new episodes was laid off the Futurama’s DVDs were launched out. There are two volumes of the DVDs.
The first volume has got 3 discs. In disc 1, the episodes which are recorded are Space Pilot 3000, The Series Has Landed, I, Roommate, Love’s Labor Lost in Space. In disc 2, Fear of a Bot Planet, A Fishful of Dollars, My Three Suns, A Big Piece of Garbage, Hell Is Other Robots, are recorded. And finally in disc three the episodes recorded are A Flight to Remember, Mars University, When Aliens Attack, and Fry and the Slurm Factory. Even though Futurama didn’t gain as much success as The Simpsons it is however not a slouch. There are several fans of Futurama and some of the episodes of Futurama are hilarious just because of the twisted sense of humor of Groening and his crew.
Because Futurama is a television show everything in the video is presented in the ratio of 1.33:1 or 4:3. It has the average bit rate of 7.86mb/second therefore the Futurama discs look amazing. Since the show was colored by using the digital process the colors in the DVD are bright and vibrant with excellent color resolution. In the Futurama DVDs the audio that you get here is all Digital Dolby Surrounds, which you can say is not at all that much surprising as it is a television show. Everything does sound good but the only complaint that can be given about it is the lack of much more audio variety. The French and the Spanish audio are also included in the same format of Digital Dolby Surrounds. There are a few extras that are included in the DVD. Some of the extras that are included in the set are
• Commentary given for all the episodes
• Deleted scenes from different episodes
• A short behind the scene feature
• English and Spanish subtitles are provided
The real juice in the extras is the commentary tracks. Commentary of each episode is given by the creator Matt Groening and many other different cast of Futurama, the writers, producers etc. the commentary is entertaining and gives an insight of the episodes. Any Futurama die-hard fan would be elated by the set of DVDs of Futurama, and someone who hasn’t watched Futurama would instantly get addicted to the episodes given in the set.
The Futurama DVD volume 2 has got four discs that have got all the nineteen episodes from the 2nd season. It includes the deleted scenes, commentary on all the episodes, animatics, storyboards and many more. It has got amazing bonus features, and there is a fun menu included also. In disc 1 the episodes recorded are I Second That Emotion, Brannigan Begin Again, A Head in the Polls, Xmas Story, and Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love. Disc 2 contains Put Your Head on My Shoulder, Lesser of Two Evils, Raging Bender, a Bicyclops Built for Two, a Clone of My Own. Disc 3 has the episodes How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back, the Deep South, Bender Gets Made, My Problem with Popplers, Mother's Day. And the last disc has Anthology of Interest I; War is the H-Word, the Honking, and the Cryonic Woman.
